TeamUp X Health Held: A Gathering of Experts at Algebra University

TeamUp X Health Held: A Gathering of Experts at Algebra University

Algebra University successfully hosted the TeamUp X Health event, bringing together many experts from the healthcare sector, entrepreneurs, healthcare professionals, and interested individuals. The event was organized by Smion as part of the AI2MED project, which focuses on the application of artificial intelligence in medicine.

Panel Discussion: "AI in Healthcare"

A central feature of the event was a panel discussion on "AI in Healthcare" and the impact of the upcoming EU AI Act on the application of this technology in the medical sector. Among the panel participants was Dr. Marko Švaco from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture at the University of Zagreb.

The discussion addressed challenges such as the misunderstanding of AI among the non-technical population, a lack of education among older generations, and general distrust of technology. Despite these challenges, the panelists emphasized that with the right education and available technologies, significant progress can be made.

Potential tasks for AI in healthcare were also discussed, including real-time health monitoring systems, drug development, personalized therapy based on genetic analysis, and patient adherence tracking.

Startup Presentations and Open Positions

Following the panel, participants had the opportunity to hear presentations from healthcare startups. Three teams, including CRTA, presented their projects at various stages of development and highlighted open positions for potential collaborators.

This event demonstrated that AI and technology in healthcare are areas with significant potential for innovation and development, thereby encouraging further engagement and research in this important field.
