The grand opening of the Regional Excellence Center for Robotics Technology
Today, on June 28, 2021, at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, University of Zagreb was held the grand opening of the Regional Excellence Center for Robotics Technology (CRTA).
The opening ceremony was attended by high-ranking state officials, including Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, Minister of Science and Education Radovan Fuchs, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Tomislav Ćorić, Rector of the University of Zagreb Damir Boras, Vice-Rector for Innovation, Technology Transfer, and Communication of the University of Zagreb Miljenko Šimpraga, as well as other representatives from the academic community and numerous business leaders.
The event was hosted by Dubravko Majetić, the Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture (FMENA), and Professor Bojan Jerbić, the head of CRTA, presented the project along with the latest achievements in the field of robotics and artificial intelligence. As part of the Regional Center, there are also presented the Laboratory for Autonomous Systems,the Laboratory for Medical Robotics and the Laboratory for Artificial Intelligence.
