The construction of the Regional Center of Excellence for Robotic Technology has started
The signing ceremony of the Contract for Construction Works marked the beginning of the construction works of the "Regional Center of Excellence for Robotic Technology – CRTA" within the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture. CRTA will become a center of excellence for research, development and education in the field of robotics and artificial intelligence, and is funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
The contract was signed by the Dean of the FSB prof. dr. sc. Dubravko Majetić and CEO of the Gepot, Nikola Kostelac. This started a new period of robotics development at The University of Zagreb.
This modern laboratory that will be 740m2 will be a center of excellence for research, development and education in the field of robotics and artificial intelligence. The implementation of construction works will enable the reconstruction and arrangement of the premises in the eastern building of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture.
