The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, University of Zagreb (FSB), in cooperation with the Regional Centre of Excellence for Robotic Technology (CRTA), hosted the HMI2MARKET project consortium meeting on 22 and 23 October 2026. The project aims to strengthen cooperation between higher education, research and industry, while fostering innovation and technology transfer.
During the two-day programme, project partners had the opportunity to exchange experiences, present their activities and research capacities, and discuss the progress achieved so far, as well as plans for the upcoming period.
The first day of the meeting began at CRTA with a presentation of the agenda and planned activities. Participants were introduced to the meeting programme and the topics scheduled for discussion throughout the day. The programme continued with presentations of start-up initiatives and innovations, highlighting opportunities to connect research results with industry needs and develop new technological solutions.
A special part of the programme was a tour of CRTA, during which participants had the opportunity to explore its research environment, laboratory facilities and activities in the fields of robotics and advanced technologies. The visit also provided an opportunity to showcase the expertise and infrastructure supporting research, innovation development and cooperation with industrial partners.
The first day continued with a working session of the consortium meeting, focusing on the review of key performance indicators (KPIs), discussion of the next steps in project implementation, coordination of future activities and consideration of outstanding issues. This session provided an opportunity for project partners to align their plans and exchange views.
On the second day, working sessions were held focusing on INDEX activities and Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI). The programme concluded with an additional tour of FSB laboratories, giving participants the opportunity to gain further insight into the Faculty's research capacities and areas of activity.
The meeting contributed to the exchange of knowledge and experience among project partners, the presentation of FSB and CRTA's research capacities, and the further strengthening of cooperation within the consortium. Discussions on technology transfer, links with industry and innovation development represent an important part of the activities aimed at strengthening the connection between academia and industry.
FSB and CRTA will continue to participate in activities that foster the development of innovation potential, the transfer of knowledge and technology, and the alignment of research with the practical needs of industry.
