CRTA at the international conferences MOTSP and MIPRO 2025

The Regional Center of Excellence for Robotic Technologies (CRTA) participated in two important international events – the 16th MOTSP Conference in Crikvenica and the 48th MIPRO Congress in Opatija, held in early June 2025.

16th International Scientific Conference Management of Technology – Step to Sustainable Production (MOTSP 2025)

The MOTSP conference was held from 3 to 6 June 2025 at the Miramare Hotel in Crikvenica. As part of the program, a presentation was given by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sc. Filip Šuligoj from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, University of Zagreb.

The title of the lecture was "Advancements in Robotically Assisted Medical Procedures", and the focus of the presentation was on presenting contemporary research and technological achievements in the field of medical robotics. Special emphasis was placed on the ANDROMEDA project - which aims to develop sophisticated robotic systems for minimally invasive surgical procedures.

The lecture aroused great interest among conference participants, especially due to the potential that robotics has in improving surgical procedures and healthcare in general. Such systems have the ability to reduce risks for patients, shorten recovery times, and increase the precision and efficiency of surgical teams.

The MOTSP conference, which took place for the sixteenth time this year, confirms its importance as a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experiences among scientists, engineers, businesspeople and decision-makers - with the aim of promoting sustainable production, digital transformation and technological innovation.

48th MIPRO Congress – ICT and Electronics

MIPRO 2025 was held in Opatija from 2 to 6 June 2025 and once again brought together leading domestic and international experts in the fields of information and communication technologies, electronics, automation and innovation. The CRTA team, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sc. Bojan Šekoranja, actively participated in the presentation of two key research and development projects – ANDROMEDA and PRONOBIS.

Both projects are presented as examples of advanced technological solutions in applied robotics. These solutions are particularly relevant for the logistics sector, mobile robotics, and automated monitoring and inspection systems.

CRTA also participated in a roundtable titled “Ecosystem for Innovative Growth”, which was organized as a space for dialogue between academia, industry and startups. The main topic was strengthening cooperation, knowledge transfer and stimulating the innovation capacity of Croatian society through joint projects and initiatives.

Conclusion

By participating in these two important conferences, CRTA has confirmed its role as one of the key players in the field of research and innovation in Croatia. Knowledge exchange, presentation of research results and networking with domestic and international partners enable the further development of quality projects with a strong impact on the economy and society.

A big thank you goes to the organizers of the MOTSP and MIPRO conferences for the excellent organization, professional approach, and the opportunity to present our work in the company of top experts and researchers.

The ANDROMEDA and PRONOBIS projects are implemented with the support of the Ministry of Science and Education and the Croatian Science Foundation, and are financed by the European Union under the NextGenerationEU instrument.
