Ericsson Nikola Tesla is opening applications for Summer Camp 2022

Students who want to apply their knowledge and gain new experiences by working on challenges faced by the modern industry can participate in Ericsson Nikola Tesla's Summer Camp 2022. This year's challenge, which students will engage with over the course of five weeks, is Digital Transformation - Big Data in Practice (how to collect, store, process, visualize, and draw conclusions within the realm of big data).

With the guidance of mentors and working as a team within the designated timeframe, students are required to address the given challenge and design a basic technological prototype solution. Alongside gaining experience in a real industrial environment, Summer Camp allows students to expand their knowledge, make new connections, and acquire valuable work experience that serves as a strong reference on their resumes. The work done in Summer Camp has served as a foundation for many students to write award-winning papers at various levels and to complete their final and diploma projects. Furthermore, many participants have chosen to continue their professional growth and development by becoming employees of Ericsson Nikola Tesla after completing their studies.

Since its inception, Summer Camp has been attended by over 800 top students who, with the support of mentors from companies and institutions collaborating with Ericsson Nikola Tesla, have successfully completed hundreds of projects. Established in 2001 as a joint project and the result of a long-standing fruitful collaboration between Ericsson Nikola Tesla and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing at the University of Zagreb, Summer Camp has evolved over the years into an international collaboration project between Ericsson Nikola Tesla and universities. In addition to Croatian universities (Zagreb, Split, Rijeka, Varaždin, Pula, and Osijek), Summer Camp also involves universities from neighboring countries (Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary, Montenegro, etc.).

Summer Camp attracts new talents, the best students of their generation, and solves some of the current technological issues. It provides students with the opportunity to gain experience working with cutting-edge technologies and prepares them for a smoother transition into the workforce. Through collaboration with academic institutions, Ericsson Nikola Tesla contributes to improving the quality of education and enhancing the competitiveness of the Croatian economy.
