Outstanding success of students at Micromouse Zagreb 2026

At the first Micromouse competition held in Croatia, our students Andrija Adamović, David Mihić, Matej Gregurić and Matej Nukić achieved exceptional success and deservedly won first place, confirming the high level of knowledge, teamwork and engineering creativity.

Micromouse is one of the most famous and longest-running robotics competitions in the world, testing the ability to autonomously navigate a complex 16×16 maze. The robot must explore the space completely independently, map it, and calculate the fastest possible route to the goal, relying solely on its own sensors, electronics, and real-time decision-making algorithms.

The “Linija” team has completely developed its own robot – from the initial idea and construction, through electronics and mechanical design, to control algorithms and motion optimization. The special value of this success is given by the fact that the entire system is the result of independent student work, in which knowledge, research and practical application of the acquired experience are intertwined.

Projects like this best show how important it is to give young engineers the opportunity to turn their ideas into functional systems. It is through competitions like this that skills are developed that go beyond theory – from solving complex problems and working under pressure to precise engineering design and performance optimization.

We are proud of the effort, perseverance and excellence the team demonstrated throughout the development and competition process.

Many thanks to Micromouse Croatia for the excellently organized and inspiring competition!
