CCVW 2023 - 11th workshop on computer vision at FER: fosters collaboration between researchers and industry
CRTA participated in the Eleventh Croatian Workshop on Computer Vision at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER). CCVW 2023 is an open workshop designed to bring together a community of researchers and industry professionals interested in the theory and applications of computer vision and image processing. The main organizer of the workshop is the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER), as part of the activities carried out by the Center of Excellence for Computer Vision (CRV). Professor Sven Lončarić, who serves as the general chair of the workshop, is also a full professor at FER. The workshop aims to encourage the exchange of ideas among researchers and promote collaboration in research and development between scientists and industry. Key topics include the theory and applications of computer vision, image and video processing, analysis, and understanding.
Igor Šijak, a graduate student, presented his work in the form of a poster on the topic "A Model of the Spatial Relationship and Interaction of an Industrial Camera and a Line Laser." Graduate student Luka Šiktar delivered a presentation during the technical session on "Modern Quality Control: Integrating Computer Vision in Inspection of PCB Elements." Both students were mentored by Assistant Professors Filip Šuligoj and Marko Švaco during the development of their projects.
Assistant Professor Filip Šuligoj gave a plenary lecture on "Localization Methods in Robotically Assisted Medical Procedures." The lecture provided a comprehensive overview of state-of-the-art techniques and technologies used for precise patient localization in medical interventions facilitated by robotics. Aimed at researchers, academics, and professionals, the lecture served as a foundational guide for those interested in the interdisciplinary intersection of computer vision, medical imaging, and robotics.
Assistant Professor Marko Švaco was the Technical Program Chair and presentation moderator.
